Why is proper disinfection so important?
Without proper disinfection, your site can harbour harmful bacteria that gets worse over time and risks impacting the health and wellbeing of anyone using the area. Whether you’re in need of virus decontamination, water damage cleaning or just a general deep clean to eliminate everyday bacteria, it’s crucial that thorough works are carried out and the site is cleaned to the highest standard.
What is involved in the cleanup process?
Each of our services involves a slightly different process, however, here’s a step-by-step overview of how we work:
Step One: Initial enquiry
Our professional team will take your call, email or online enquiry and go through your situation, discussing the location and current condition of the site in question. After gathering the required information, your dedicated advisor will recommend a bespoke infection cleaning service, which fits around your exact needs.
We’ll arrange a suitable time and date for a site risk assessment and cleaning works to be carried out by one of our expert cleaning service providers. Your advisor will then be on hand throughout the process for and queries that you may have.
Step Two: Pre-work preparations
On the arranged date, our specialist cleaning provider will arrive on site to conduct a full risk assessment and prepare the area for decontamination cleaning. You will be provided with a copy of the risk assessment for your own records and peace of mind, please check this upon receipt to ensure that you are comfortable with everything included.
Your specialist will ensure that the site is adequately lit, ventilated and is generally safe to conduct works in, advising you of any issues they come across immediately. Only once all of this is carried out to the appropriate standard, will work begin. Once all parties are in agreement with the risk assessment, the decontamination works can begin.
Step Three: Conducting cleaning works
Your cleaning specialists will work swiftly and methodically through the entire area, ensuring that every inch is thoroughly cleaned to the highest possible standard. During the process, the site in question may be inaccessible (dependent of the type of service) and must remain so until the specialist advises that the area is safe to enter.
If you have any queries during this time, your Cleaning Plus Network advisor will be on hand to take your call.
Step Four: Post works
Following the completion of the works, the cleaning specialist will need to ensure that their protective clothing is fully disinfected to avoid contaminating external areas. The disinfected site will then need to be allowed to fully dry, this will depend on the scale of the area in question and the severity of the original infection.
Once the site is dry, a final check will be conducted to ensure the area is ready to be reopened, ensuring that any waste is disposed of hygienically and using the appropriate method. Your specialist will then confirm all the details of the works that have been carried out and provide a written job card as guarantee of a fully decontaminated area.
As always, your Cleaning Plus Network advisor will be happy to help with any queries you may have following the work completion.
What is PPE?
PPE is equipment that will protect the user against health or safety risks at work. It can include items such as safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and safety harnesses. It also includes respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
What are RAMS?
RAMS are documents companies create after they conduct risk assessments. RAMS documents contain details of the hazard as well as a step-by-step safe working guide that employees, contractors, and others can follow. As a result, RAMS have more detail than risk assessments.
In summary, risk assessments identify, quantify, and then control risks while method statements describe detailed steps on how to complete the job and avoid the risk identified in the risk assessment (i.e. how to do the job safely)
Will my insurance cover the cleaning service?
With the exception of virus decontamination & a general deep clean, all of our cleaning services should be covered by most home & businesses insurers.
What is the typical response time?
Depending on demand at the time of booking and the service your are looking for, we aim to arrange for most cleaning works to be carried out within 48 hours of the first enquiry.
